Cadia East Project Approval

On 6 January 2010, the Minister for Planning, the Honourable Tony Kelly, granted planning consent for the Cadia East Gold/Copper Project.

This project was classed as a State Significant Development and was assessed under Part 3A of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, 1979.

Approval under the Commonwealth Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act, 1999 was granted on 18 February 2010.

The project has undergone a number of modifications since it was originally approved in 2010. The original planning consent, including subsequent modifications, is available here Consolidated Consent – Cadia East (2010).
