Cadia Valley Operations is owned by Newcrest Mining Limited and is one of the largets gold mining operations in Australia. Operations include two underground mines and an ore processing facility.

At Cadia Valley Operations (CVO), Newcrest has a strong commitment to local schools and offers the following support to local students:

Many of the students who have completed work experience at CVO or received a scholarship or bursary have gained employment with Newcrest at either CVO or one of its other operations.
