Community Partnership ProgramAt Cadia Valley Operations, Newcrest distributes funding each year to support and enhance community groups and organisations in the Blayney, Cabonne and Orange local government areas. Our Community Partnership Program offers two funding opportunities – Cadia Cares and the Cadia Legacy Fund. Cadia Cares provides support to community groups within Blayney, Cabonne and Orange LGA’s to offset the current impacts of Cadia’s activities and support the economic development of the community. Minor funding of up to $5,000 is available for short-term projects is available, while funding of up to $20,000 is available for projects which can demonstrate long-term benefit to the community. Please read the Cadia Cares Guidelines to check your eligibility. To submit an application for Cadia Cares, please click here. To be eligible for consideration at the next meeting, applications for Cadia Cares need to be completed by Monday 29 August. The Cadia Legacy Fund works in partnership with community representatives to develop and deliver strategic projects which will leave a legacy on the local region (within Blayney, Cabonne or Orange LGA’s) while Cadia continues to operate, and as it reaches mine closure. Funding applications of a minimum of $20,000 will be considered through the Cadia Legacy Fund. Projects must demonstrate strategic alignment with government or key stakeholder plans. Newcrest Orange360 Regional Tourism FundCadia has partnered with Orange360 to establish the Newcrest Orange360 Regional Tourism Fund to help bolster the tourism industry within the region. The fund will held build on the success of the region’s festivals to stimulate the visitor economy and diversity the events across the calendar, positioning the Orange region as a leading destination. COVID-19 Community Support FundApplications for Cadia's COVID-19 Community Support Fund have now closed, however applications are still being considered under Newcrest's $20M Community Support Fund.
