Program offerings

Each year we offer apprenticeships which may include the following areas:

  • Automotive Electrician

  • Electrician

  • Heavy Vehicle Mechanic

  • Technology & Innovation

  • Mechanical Fitter

  • Boilermaker

Our apprenticeships program is run in conjunction with NSW TAFE and runs for four years. We also offer specific Indigenous apprenticeships.

In 2024 we are also offering new Traineeships in Information Technology (24 months) and Administration (12 months).

Apprenticeship applications closed 30 June 2023. New apprentices start in January each year.

What’s it like being an apprentice at Cadia?

As an apprentice you’ll learn on-the-job skills while completing your NSW TAFE requirements. You will be a part of the crew and learn all aspects of the job over your four-year program. An apprenticeship at Cadia opens up many careers pathways, within Newcrest and the wider resource sector.
