CVO Good Onya! Program
Newcrest’s Good Onya! program at Cadia Valley Operations (CVO) rewards the volunteering efforts of its workforce in the local community.
When a Newcrest employee or their spouse volunteers 25 hours or more of their personal time during a calendar year to support a disadvantaged group, charity, sporting club, registered organisation or educational organisation, Newcrest will donate $250 to that organisation to recognise their contribution.
In 2014, Newcrest awarded 88 Good Onya! grants of $250 each. Through the program more than 5,134 volunteer hours were contributed and a total of $22,000 was donated to support local charities, sporting, educational and community organisations.
