Community PartnershipsAt Cadia Valley Operations, Newcrest distributes more than $400,000 each year in funding to support and enhance community groups and organisations in the Blayney, Cabonne and Orange local government areas.
Eligibility CriteriaShort term - Education, community and disadvantaged groups were identified as industries to offset the current impacts of Cadia's activities and approximately 40% of Cadia’s annual budget will be spent in these areas. Consideration will be given to pursuing partnerships with projects which:
Long term - Health, agriculture and tourism were identified as alternative industry sectors which will ensure the prosperity of the region when Cadia reaches mine closure.
